WHO WE ARE

We are a multi-disciplinary design studio that fosters a creative approach in projects by playing with craft and material experimentation. Projects range from architecture & interiors to design strategies for branding & marketing.EUDO’s portfolio reflects the different narratives taken from the clients themselves giving each project a unique perspective in design and architecture. For houses, this would mean an emotional exchange between the clients and our architecture. Another design strategy we do at our office often is translating small details into a bigger picture. Regardless of project size, we retain focus on the spaces and the materials.

I am the founder and principal of EUDO. I am a passionate designer that loves to be surrounded by well-designed objects whether at the office or at home. I appreciate most chairs and lightingfixtures that firmly have its roots from pure modernist designs. These form part of our office collection and I see to it that these are utilised for its very function and not merely being looked at.I see continuing education an important asset to my company. Despite having taken courses on industrial design at Domus Academy in Milan, interiors at Central St. Martins in London, I recentlyfinished my post-graduate studies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University with Distinction for Master of Design (Design Strategies).Never have I expected to write a book but it happened as a result of my capstone project for the masters program. I chose a topic that was close to my practice and our office design philosophy on creating authentic designs aptly titled Design Authenticity Matters in Philippine architecture.

We enjoy the mix of typologies in our projects as we welcome different challenges. It is from these challenges that drive and make our solutions unique such as House No. 10 or our hospitality projects like Spin Designer Hostel in El Nido, Palawan. We even started designing for an ice plant's office. Not a typical office to start but we got off with the right project followed by our series of houses neatly numbered. We continue our journey of design to the interiors as we love to continue on with a consistent space inside and out.

This is where it all started. Our interiors vary depending on the use of the space but our designs are always deeply rooted to our values. Apart from the usual design considerations, we encourage having a wonderful exchange between clients and our interior architecture. We go beyond what is asked for and this turns a new chapter to a project! Interesting fact: the reason behind name of a hotel interiors project, Canvas Hotel, was because of our design solutions collaborating with a group of artists. The name could have been Spin!

Our first objects grew out of necessity from certain projects where we could not and the perfect piece to accompany our spaces. From robe hooks to dining tables, we all produce them in our own workshop in Cagayan de Oro, handcrafted by our trio of a carpenter, painter and welder.A unique addition is Design Scramble, a toolkit for designers in search of inspirations and explorations. And of course, our book entitled Design Authenticity Matters in Philippine Architecture is one piece you would not want to miss out. A EUDO design experience you can own.
