Samsung UI 4.0

josh Gadget Review Leave a Comment

The Samsung One UI 4.0 is coming for the Galaxy S21 devices first, before rolling out to other versions of the device from the South Korean manufacturer. However, some say that it has the looks of the famous Apple iOS, especially on some of its features. It was said that the release date of the One UI 4.0 would be at the end of 2021, exact time for the new Galaxy smartphone to be release.

The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta update is now rolling out to beta testers in more countries. The latest release addresses some bugs and issues but isn’t as feature-rich as the first beta build. This might sound disappointing at first, but in reality, it suggests that Samsung’s beta firmware for the Galaxy S21 series is almost ready for a public release this year.

In fact, even though the latest changelog doesn’t seem very exciting, there’s one line, in particular, that seems to be hinting that the public One UI 4.0 beta build is almost ready for release. According to the new changelog, the third One UI 4.0 beta update is based on Google AOSP — the final Android 12 release.

ONE UI 4.0 Official Video Part #1

The first video starts by focusing on the evolution of the skin since One UI 2, going through some user feedback –   which brings us to the main claim, that is One UI 4 being made according to users’ wishes. Customizability plays a big role, as do widgets (now with rounded edges), and dark mode options for app icons.

ONE UI 4.0 Official Video Part #2

In the second video, the company goes into a bit more detail regarding customizations applied into One UI 4, as well as various photo-related tools, and quickly sharing files to your Samsung laptop which resembles word “ecosystem” makes an appearance.

To end things, we get a glimpse of the new Galaxy Watch 4 – which is really stretching the logic of this being a promo video for One UI 4. But then again, the watch is part of that all-important ecosystem, so that’s probably the reason for its inclusion in the video.
